We learned a lot this year and plan to make changes that will make the next Festival even better.
We look forward to the 2027 Outdoor Railway Festival!
The Northeast Outdoor Railway Festival is a celebration of large-scale, outdoor model railroads. Not a show. Not a convention. Just a fun time enjoying model trains running in beautiful outdoor settings.
The festival is jointly sponsored by the Amherst Railway Society and the Steaming Tender Restaurant, and hosted at Amherst's garden railroad in Palmer, Massachusetts.
The festival weekend includes live steam, model railroad operations, a variety of exhibitors, vendors, and good food - in a variety of locations.
And, it's Father's Day weekend. Bring Dad to the festival!
